I forgot to mention I'm still new at Ubuntu, and a lot of the command line is still uncharted teritory.įorum tags: Freezes, stops, splash screen, splashscreen, ubuntu, 11. I've also updated Ubuntu using the update manager, after the FGFS freeze, to see if that would help. Warning: invalid line segment passed to IntersectVisitor::addLineSegment(.) The CullVisitor kept looping until I terminated the process. I just tried to start FGFS in Terminal and below is the last several lines of code that spooled and kept looping. I tried the GIT installation, but during the download I kept getting disconnected during the fgdata download, so the only option for me is to use the Ubuntu Software Center. Mdl Model File 3d Objects FS2004/FSX/P3D v2/X-Plane/FlightGear. I didn't really think to benchcheck the CPU operations when FGFS was actually running yesterday, maybe because I was just overly excited that I finally got FGFS installed. The Model part in PAC lets you load any Source models or models you made yourself. When I closed FGFS, on both Ubuntu machines, the CPU's go back to normal usage: <6% for the dual core and <20% for the single core. FGFS ran fine on this computer yesterday too, but today, it's also stuck in between splash screen and starting airport and its single CPU is pegged at 100%. This machine also plays a vital role in part of my project. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04 on this machine, and also loaded FGFS on it. The lesser machine still sits above the minimum requirements to operate FGFS. I have another Ubuntu machine, but not as advanced as the new addition. I have a project in mind and it hinges on the use of Ubuntu and FGFS. I'm really interested in getting FGFS to run well on my Ubuntu machine. I do have a Windows computer and so far FGFS has ran several times without any trouble. I've been searching the forums for a week now and there was another post out there, similar to this one, but for Windows OS. I decided to open my System Monitor and I'm surprised to see that the 1st CPU of a dual core CPU is running at 100% and staying there! So I tried to close the FGFS window, and it doesn't respond. Then, when I click on another tab, such as (Location), the tab stays open and none of the selections open/work. Some of the tabs are clickable, and the dropdown menus appear when clicked, but when clicking on (Select Airport), no list appears. So at the moment I'm looking at the FGFS window with a menu bar on a black view. After letting the computer rest for the night and after a day of work, I restarted FGFS and it froze between the splashscreen and loading the flight. FGFS started up and ran fine for the duration of my first session. I am running Ubuntu 11.04., 32 bit, installed fresh, then immediately downloaded FGFS 2.0.0, via the Ubuntu Software Center, on a computer I just built three days ago. Problem: FGFS 2.0.0 freezes between splash screen and the loading of the flight on Ubuntu 11.04.
